Happy birthday to Bespoke Body! I can’t believe it has been a whole 365 days since I launched my baby out into the world. Wow what a year it has been…

I was and still am juggling Bespoke Body with my full time job in the film industry… which is A LOT. There have been weeks and months when I just haven’t had a single spare moment to put energy into Bespoke Body… but even so, I’ve managed to do personal fitness training with a handful of clients – I didn’t realise how much I missed doing that!  I’ve also managed to health coach another bunch of clients. Some clients signed up for 6 or 12 session programs, which unfolded over 3 to 6 months. It has been so rewarding to see clients grow and learn so much on their journeys – some clients even making amazing life changing transformations! When their programs are over, I know that I’ve equipped them with enough knowledge to be able to sustain their new healthy lifestyles for a long time, if not a lifetime! Some clients have also just come for once off or a couple of sessions to deal with a specific or acute concern. There’s a program to meet everyone’s concerns, time constraints and budgets. The time I spend with clients flies by and is so enjoyable – once again affirming that this is what I’m meant to be doing and hopefully one of these days it will be my full time gig!

Over the past year, I’ve also had a chance to figure out which direction I want to take Bespoke Body in and which services I want to offer. At first I thought that offering whole food cleanses and making smoothies for people was something that I’d love to do… Trial and error showed me that at the moment it’s just not feasible in terms of time put in, profit and facilities available… so that has been put on the back burner. Live and learn.

Since I last checked in here, it’s been an amazingly exciting and busy December and January. I got engaged on the 20th of December! Woo hoo! Feel like we’ve been floating in a bubble of love (and champagne) since then. We also went on a romantic safari, partied like rock stars all over Cape Town, enjoyed lots of beach time, workouts, healthy meals, not so healthy meals, Netflix binges, book reading and am now full on in the thick of a shooting a new TV series. Phew!

So once we have a wedding date set, I’ll take you guys along for the ride in terms of prepping myself for “the big day”. I’m even thinking of doing a Bride To Be program/challenge/bootcamp type thing closer to the time… I want to cover healthy eating, supplements, exercise, skin-care and even mindfulness in preparation for the wedding. No extremes. Nothing stupid. Just amazing advice, tips and tools to help me look and feel my brightest, most balanced and loving self.  So if you’re also getting married later this year or early 2020, this might be something you’re interested in!

What else can you look forward to seeing from Bespoke Body this year? I’m hoping to host a holistic health weekend retreat or workshop in March or April  – will keep you posted as soon as I know more on that! I will also be looking for venues to host exercise events, workshops and even cooking demos. (Lemme know if you guys have any suggestions or leads!)

Later this year, I’m also hoping to launch some more classes (online and in person), an infrared sauna service and maybe even an e-book! Let’s see how the year unfolds…

As always, if you’re looking for more frequent updates, be sure to follow my Instagram and Facebook pages! I’m trying to make space in my life to create more useful content for you guys… Please please let me know if there are specific topics that you’d like me to cover.

I thank you all for your support and love over the last year. It took a lot for me to finally “put myself out there” and stop just talking and start DOING! Launching a new business (especially when it’s also a side hustle) can be a slow and sometimes frustrating process. One step forward, two steps back. It’s all good though. I am happy. My life is FULL and satisfying. I feel very very blessed.  I know when the time is right, things will fall into place for Bespoke Body and it’ll be full steam ahead!

So for now I’m off to eat some CAKE and cheers to Bespoke Body and all of YOU!

xoxo
