It’s Valentine’s Day and I couldn’t help getting swept up in the hype, so I thought I’d share a libido boosting variation of keto fudge. For those of you who have never tried or heard of keto fudge (firstly, WTF have you been?) (secondly, sorry and welcome!) it’s the easiest little fat burning treat, which is basically a fat bomb that doesn’t raise your insulin levels, yet satisfies any cravings. Yay and yay! Now how about all of that with the added power of some libido boosting superfoods to get you feeling frisky! Oh yeah. Sign me up πŸ™‚

We’ve got cacao (not cocoa!) which in it’s raw, organic form is packed full of nutrients and antioxidants. It is a rich source of magnesium and what does magnesium help us do? Chill! If you’re relaxed you’re more likely to feel amorous and also more likely to reach the big O! Cacao also triggers serotonin release which is a mood elevator. Plus cacao is great for circulation. If you know what I mean…

Our next powerhouse ingredient is maca. This ancient Peruvian root is energizing and gives stamina – Peruvian warriors used to eat this root back in the day. So a big thumbs up for stamina! Maca’s main benefit though is that it balances and regulates both male and female hormones. If your hormones are in check, your whole body functions as it should. And that means being in the mood and having good, healthy sex.

And lastly pine pollen. Pine pollen boosts the immune system, energises and helps with building lean muscle, but it’s main and most widely acclaimed benefit is that it increases testosterone and therefore boosts libido – this is a good thing in both men and women.

So now for the recipe…

β€’ 1 cup coconut oil

β€’ 1/4 cup cocoa powder

β€’ 8-10 drops liquid stevia

  • a pinch of vanilla powder or a tsp of vanilla extract

  • a dash of cinnamon

β€’ 1/4 -1/2 cup Almond Butter

  • 2 tablespoons maca powder

  • 2 tablespoons pine pollen powder

  • a pinch of cayenne pepper (optional if you want a little kick and also boosts circulation!)

β€’ Maldon or Pink salt

1. Melt Coconut Oil in over low heat on the stove.

2. Place melted coconut oil and all other ingredients into a blender. Blend on high until everything is mixed and smooth.

3. Pour into ice cube tray.

4. Sprinkle with Salt (it’s nice to have a bit of sweet/salty contrast)

  1. Freeze. Fudge is ready in 30 minutes

When you’re in the mood for a sweet treat, pop a cube out of the ice tray, give it a few minutes to thaw out a bit and enjoy. These babies do melt quickly because of the coconut oil, so be careful. Although it’s also fun to lick the melted mess off your hands… or whatever.

Have a super sexy day, whether you’re single, attached or somewhere in between. And remember, the most important love of all is… SELF LOVE!

“Perhaps, we should love ourselves so fiercely, that when others see us they know exactly how it should be done.” – Rudy Francisco
